ABOUT ME

My name is Isabella Alexander and I am a senior at Frisco High School. In addition to being in ISM 2 this year, I am a member of the Wind Symphony and marching band. I play the clarinet and have previously served as one of the sections leaders. I also am a part of NHS, climate committee, and am the historian of the 1902 Service Club. I enjoy music, attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. Last year in ISM I studied psychiatry under the mentorship of Dr. Adam Brenner of UT Southwestern Medical Center. It was such an amazing experience for me to grow and learn. I'm so excited for the opportunity to study psychology this year!

Mission Statement

This year in the Independent Study and Mentorship program, my mission is to gain professional skills that will assist me as I enter the workforce and become more prepared for my potential future career path. Through research, I will expand my knowledge on mental illnesses and the process in which they are diagnosed and treated. My mentor will help me understand the daily work demanded from a psychologist and how to care for patients. This will set me in the right direction to pursue psychology as a career.
